Step 3 — Connect to Wi-Fi
Connect Echo to Wi-Fi

Open the Alexa app and follow prompts to connect your Echo to your home Wi-Fi.

Open Alexa and tap Devices

In the Alexa app, tap the Devices icon at the bottom. Then tap the + icon in the top right corner to add a new device.

Select your Echo model

Choose "Amazon Echo" then select your exact device model from the list. Follow the on-screen instructions to put Echo in setup mode.

Enter your Wi-Fi password

When prompted, select your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter your password. Your Echo will connect — the orange ring turns blue when successful.

Pro tip: Keep your Echo within 10 feet of your router during initial setup for the best connection results.
